This page is filled with carefully selected resources to help you understand not only what Joshua says, but why it matters. As you follow Israel across the Jordan River and into Canaan, you'll witness God's power, His faithfulness, and His victory as He fulfills the promises He made generations earlier. From the crossing of the Jordan and the fall of Jericho to Rahab's remarkable faith and the division of the land, you'll see that every victory belongs to the Lord. Most importantly, you'll discover how every chapter points forward to Jesus Christ-our greater Joshua, who leads His people into their ultimate promised inheritance and secures the victory we could never achieve on our own.
My prayer is that these resources encourage you to slow down, open your Bible, and grow in your confidence that God always keeps His promises. Joshua isn't simply the story of Israel conquering a land; it's the story of a faithful God who fulfills every promise He makes, calls His people to courageous obedience, and gives victory to those who trust Him.

But First... Pray
Prayer Before Studying Joshua
Heavenly Father,
As I prepare to study the book of Joshua, I ask You to quiet my heart and open my mind to Your truth. Thank You for preserving Your Word and for reminding me that You are always faithful to keep every promise You make. As I read, help me trust You more deeply and follow You more faithfully.
Open my eyes to see more than battles, conquests, and the division of the land. Reveal Your faithfulness, Your power, Your justice, and Your steadfast love. Teach me what it means to walk by faith, to obey You with courage, and to trust that You go before Your people in every circumstance.
Help me recognize how this book points to Jesus Christ- our greater Joshua, who leads us into our eternal inheritance and has already secured the victory over sin and death. May I see Your plan of redemption woven throughout these pages and grow in confidence that Your promises never fail.
Give me a humble and teachable heart. Help me to slow down, ask thoughtful questions, and carefully observe what Your Word says before turning to outside resources. May Your Holy Spirit guide me into all truth and transform not only my understanding but also the way I live.
Lord, give me courage to trust You even when the path seems uncertain. Strengthen my faith to follow wherever You lead, knowing that true victory comes not through my own strength, but through Your power and Your presence. Help me to live with confidence, remembering that You are faithful in every generation.
Thank You for inviting me to know You through Your Word. Draw me closer to You as I study, and may everything I learn bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
